Rate limits reflect real capacity. Every request is a live fetch of a marketplace page, so throughput — not storage — is what the tiers actually ration.
What you are charged for
You are charged for
Any lookup that answers your question — including “no product exists at that ID”. That answer required a real fetch and is a valid result.
You are not charged for
Any failure on our side: a blocked fetch, a timeout, an unavailable
upstream. Those return 5xx and the credit is returned
automatically. Check X-Credits-Charged on any response.
Cached responses
Results are cached for five minutes. A cached response still costs one credit — you are paying for the answer, not for our infrastructure.
Reliability, stated plainly
Roughly 1 in 20 uncached lookups fails and returns a 502.
Retry once and it will almost always succeed. Build a single retry into
your client — we would rather tell you than have you discover it.
Enterprise volume
Beyond the tiers above, pricing is quoted rather than listed — because the real conversation is throughput, not unit cost. Every request is a live fetch of a marketplace page, so sustained high volume is arranged deliberately. Tell us the catalogue size and refresh frequency you need and we will tell you honestly whether we can serve it, and what it costs.
